Workwear Recycled – Membership

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Workwear Recycled, supporting their mission to tackle textile waste and drive meaningful change toward a more sustainable future.

Workwear Recycled delivers a comprehensive textile recycling program designed for businesses of all sizes. Their approach empowers organisations to take practical, measurable steps toward sustainability by:

  • Reducing waste and lowering carbon emissions
  • Optimising textile resource management
  • Minimising the environmental and financial impact of clothing, textiles, and PPE
  • Transforming used materials into valuable, repurposed products

How The Recycling Process Works

As part of this collaboration, we are provided with dedicated collection bins from Workwear Recycled. These bins are used to gather end-of-life textiles and PPE that would otherwise be sent to landfill. Once full, the bins are returned for secure processing and recycling.

The process ensures every item is handled responsibly:

  • PPE is carefully assessed and sorted according to material type
  • Textiles are de-hardened before being sent to secure recycling and shredding facilities
  • 100% of de-hardened textiles are recycled, with zero waste sent to landfill
  • PPE is deconstructed and processed for recycling
  • Every item is tracked from collection through to final destruction
  • All materials are securely recycled and destroyed to ensure brand protection
  • A Certificate of Destruction is available at any time, providing full transparency and peace of mind

Why It Matters

Textile waste is a growing global issue, and the numbers highlight the urgency:

  • The world generates 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year
  • 85% of clothing materials end up in landfill or are incinerated
  • Only 20% of discarded textiles are collected for reuse or recycling
  • Just 1% of discarded clothing is recycled into new garments

Moving Forward Together

Through this partnership, we are taking a proactive step toward reducing textile waste and supporting a circular economy. Together, we can make a real difference diverting waste from landfill, conserving resources, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
